And I finally succeeded in repairing, fixing and putting up with all the damages, problems and pranks that happened with me during my travel to Salzburg and my coming back to Beirut!
Not being excited about something you have in mind will let you down. But, what let you down even more is when some pranks start to happen, the unexpected ones!
First day i was about to travel to Austria, at 3 a.m at the airport found that i don't have a confirmation for my ticket, yes,,, had to go back to dorms! I cannot travel! I try buying a ticket immidietly to follow my classmates to start the summer course all together, yet the plane is all booked... it's alright! I smile, say it is ok, tell my classmates to go, take care and have fun! yes! it was a shock at first that made me smile, stay strong and move on till all at once i crashed and started crying! calling my brother at 3 am telling him no flight for me was easy! he made it go smooth when he said, so what?! you'll follow ur classmates! next morning checking what is the problem with my ticket from the travel agency to tell me they forgot to confirm it! ironic!
It is alright! time to call a cab take me back to dorms! However, going to airport expecting my mobile to have charged, but find out my mobile charger is broken so I can barely get the chance to call a taxi in the middle of the night to come pick me up from airport since i have 5% charge! Opening my laptop in the middle of the airport, walking around, connecting my mobile with a cable to have some charge to call a taxi! Till taxi called me, closing my laptop and move forward!
Third, having a final project in salzburg, and having to submit after couple of days was just so awesome! moving from one building to the other, back to the lobby, standing for couple of minutes with the Iranian friend Mojan, putting my laptop on a table, ended up with it felling on floor and breaking the screen of it! And oh yes! travelling after my colleges second day and receiving my bag broken in the airport made all my trip worth going! Then the laptop...........
Not a problemmmm! Managed to go back to Beirut with my broken bag as one piece! YAYY! managed to fix my laptop (yesterday!) Managed to buy another charger andddd a power bank for emergencies!
Managed to reach Salzburg, participate in Salzburg Academy for media and Global Change, get a certificate and start after 6 hours after reaching Beirut another course or workshop about media and digital literacy, yes the same one i participated in two weeks ago, but this time as one of the organizers !not participants and get another certificate hamdulillah
The joke was after one day of finishing all this, eating in Bliss st. And being poisoned and having to
go to hospital, sleeping for almost 15 hours
Not being accepted in dorms cause master students are old enough and grown up to find their own housing!
Looking for apartments, finding a suitable one, close to AUB campus, and moving to in couple of days before the semester begin!
Yessss.... when life gives you lemon, make apple juice out of it!
