A lot of people hear about the Palestinian prisoners, many of them unfortunately think that prisoners are terrorists, the time Israeli Occupation Force (IOF) arrests Palestinians without any specific reason, yet accuse them in things they never did. There are over 5000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, thousands of men, hundreds of children, and tens of women. Over 200 prisoners are administrative prisoners who are imprisoned with no trial and each 6 months their trial renews by itself on hunger strike for more than 52 days.
Some people might ask, why are they killing themselves by not eating, nor drinking! some might as well ask, if they are on real hunger strike they won't be living till now. but that's all not true. there are many reasons why Palestinian prisoners are on hunger strike, and there is a way they can survive as well. And That's what we are going to explain in this article.
Palestinian administrative prisoners who are on hunger strike took such a decision for many reasons, as some have been imprisoned for no reason, some are accused of attacking IOF when they actually never did such a thing. Some are imprisoned unknowing of the reason why they are in prisons for many months.
Israel imprisons Palestinians, and form secret files with information about them; they don't want to share the information of why a prisoner is in prison! such a file forbids Palestinian prisoners to call a lawyer, their parents never get the chance to know where their son is, how is he or any other information. An administrative prisoner never gets the chance to call his parents nor his parents are allowed to call him. Such an action is illegal international by the UN and the Human Rights.
Going back to the prisoners who are on hunger strike, Israel is trying tens of ways to break their strike, yet Palestinians shall continue their strike till they gain their freedom.
Palestinians on hunger strike survive by one way, having water and salt. drinking water that has salt in it keeps their metabolism working, some might ask what is the need for salt! and the answer is that it is known salt with water keeps the intestines clean and forbids it from rotting..
Israelis now a days are using a new way to break the Palestinians strike, how? by measuring how long is a prisoners neck, then they enter a tube from the nose till the intestines, and fill it with liquids and kinds of vitamins. this way was used in Guantanamo in order to break the prisoners' hunger strike.

Palestinians are living under occupation since 1948. With the 5000 prisoners, none of the Palestinians are safe from the idea that they might be arrested any minute.
